Hi, I’m John. I’m an executive leader, strategist, and creative working at the intersection of business, sport, culture, sustainability, and social impact.

For nearly two decades, I’ve helped organizations turn ambitious ideas into action—building partnerships, programs, teams, campaigns, and the systems that allow them to grow. My work has taken me from the New York City Marathon to the World Surf League and around the world, collaborating with brands, athletes, nonprofits, foundations, communities, and international institutions.

At the center of it all is a simple idea: bring the right people together, create a shared vision, and build what’s needed to make it happen.

Building ideas at global scale

I spent seven years at the World Surf League, serving as Vice President of Sustainability & Social Impact and Executive Director of WSL PURE. Across a global sports organization operating more than 190 events in 20 countries, I helped build an environmental and social-impact platform that contributed to a 49% reduction in emissions, 70% waste diversion, and more than 200 partnerships.

I also helped evolve that work into WSL One Ocean, bringing together athletes, brands, nonprofits, events, and storytelling to engage millions of people around ocean conservation.

Before that, I spent five years with New York Road Runners and the New York City Marathon, working across partnerships, philanthropy, community impact, and one of the world's largest sporting events.

Today, I lead operations and partnerships at Save The Waves Coalition, helping build capacity and resources behind a global effort to protect surf ecosystems.

Outside the office

I’m also a husband, dad, and photographer. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with my family, a camera in hand, or exploring somewhere new. Photography has taken me around the world and remains one of my favorite ways to stay curious and tell stories.
